John 17:3

John 17:3 (NKJV)

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."

Yeshua did not define eternal life as believing the right things about God. He defined it as KNOWING them.

Read his own words carefully: "the only true God" — and then, separately, the one God SENT. Two, not one. The sender and the sent are not the same person (a prophet under orders is not the One who gave the orders).

And the life itself? That they may KNOW You. Not know ABOUT You secondhand, through a priest, a creed, or a family tradition you never questioned. Know — firsthand, the way you know a voice because you have actually heard it.

That is the whole work. Eternal life is not a ticket you collect for correct belief. It is a relationship you enter by knowing God directly — and nobody can do that knowing for you.
